
Budgetary allocation for Thotapalli, Tarakarama Teerthasagar would benefit farmers of North Andhra districts: TDP legislators

TDP representatives praise irrigation project allocations in North Andhra, ensuring three crops a year and financial aid for farmers.
Public representatives of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) hailed the allocations for irrigation projects of North Andhra districts saying that it would ensure three crops in a year within no time.
Rajam MLA Kondru Muralimohan, Parvatipuram legislator Bonela Vijaya Chandra said the allocation of ₹47.8 crore for Thotapalli project would benefit Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Parvatipuram-Manyam districts with the improvement of canals and stabilisation of ayacut.
Mr .Muralimohan said that around 2.10 lakh acres would get assured water with the Thotapalli project which was completed during previous tenure of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
Mr.Vijaya Chandra said allocation of ₹6,300 crore in annual Budget for Annadata Sukhibhava scheme would provide financial assistance to lakhs of farmers in the State. “The allocation of ₹2,800 crore Jal Jeevan scheme will certainly benefit farmers of Parvatipuram-Manyam district in the absence of assured water to remote areas. We also welcome Budget allocation for natural farming which has been vogue in tribal areas of the district,” he added.
TDP-Vizianagaram Parliamentary wing president Kimidi Nagarjuna said allocation of ₹68 crore for Tarakarama Teerthasagar would ensure dedicated water supply for Bhogapuram international airport also, apart from meeting the irrigation needs of Denkada, Pusapatirega, Bhogapuram and other mandals.
