Referring to the Budget presented by Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Friday (February 28, 2025), the Chief Minister highlighted that despite financial challenges, the government had been working tirelessly to restore the systems that were ‘weakened by the destructive policies of the previous government’.
“Within just eight months in the office, welfare initiatives such as hikes in pension, Anna Canteens, and Deepam schemes have been implemented. Additionally, 74 of 93 Centrally-sponsored schemes that were halted by the previous government have been resumed,” Mr. Naidu said.
The Chief Minister asserted that the Budget was not just about department-wise allocations, but a comprehensive effort to drive holistic development.
“This progressive budget has been designed to change the course of the State and has allocated significant funds to the key sectors and welfare programmes. The ₹3,22,359-crore Budget will act as a bridge to implement the ten guiding principles of the Swarna Andhra 2047 Vision,” he said.
“The government is dedicated to addressing the needs and aspirations of the people. This budget has been crafted to fulfil those expectations. With the cooperation of the people, the 2025-26 Budget sets the path towards realising the Swarna Andhra -2047 Vision,” he added.
