
BRS MLAs drive autos to Telangana Assembly demanding welfare board, ₹12,000 annual aid to auto drivers

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLAs took out a rally driving autos to the Telangana Legislative Assembly in Hyderabad on Wednesday (December 18, 2024) raising issues faced by auto drivers and demanding assurances made to them to be implemented.
On the fourth day of the third Legislative Assembly, BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao, former Ministers Vemula Prashanth Reddy, T. Padma Rao Goud and others drove autos to the Assembly.
They said that the State government assured to establish a welfare board for auto drivers and provide annual financial aid of ₹12,000. The Opposition MLAs demanded them to be implemented and support to families of auto drivers who ended their life.

The Karnataka government has drafted a comprehensive master plan for the integrated development of Kukke Subrahmanya temple, the State’s highest revenue-generating temple managed by the Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department. The redevelopment initiative is estimated to cost around ₹254 crore and aims to enhance infrastructure and facilities for devotees.
