Blasters hoping for a large slice of luck

Kerala Blasters face slim playoff chances in ISL, hoping for luck against Jamshedpur FC, while planning for Super Cup.
With their chances of qualifying for the ISL playoffs very slim, Kerala Blasters will be hoping for a large slice of luck and praying that the teams above them do very badly.
Currently ninth in the ISL table with 24 points, the Blasters play Jamshedpur FC – which has already qualified for the playoffs with 37 points – at the Nehru Stadium here on Saturday.
“We have a very slight chance and we need to win our last three matches....we need a lot of luck too,” said T.G. Purushothaman, the Blasters’ interim head coach on Friday.
And aware that the road ahead is a difficult one, he is looking beyond the league race.
“We are also planning for the Super Cup,” said Purushothaman.
But the venue and dates of the Super Cup have not been finalised yet.
Placed fourth in the league table, Jamshedpur has Khalid Jamil – who made history as the first Indian coach to guide a team to the ISL playoffs – to inspire it and is expected to be a very tough opponent.
