BJP Tamil Nadu president K. Annamalai on Saturday (March 1, 2025) said his party would boycott the all-party meeting convened by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on March 5, 2025, to discuss the issue of delimitation.
BJP Tamil Nadu president K. Annamalai on Saturday (March 1, 2025) said his party would boycott the all-party meeting convened by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on March 5, 2025, to discuss the issue of delimitation. He also accused Mr. Stalin of spreading “imaginary and baseless fears.”
In a letter to the Chief Minister, Mr. Annamalai said: “You have misconstrued the delimitation exercise and convened the all-party meeting to spread your imaginary fears and deliberately lie about it even before the means and methods through which the exercise is planned to be carried out are officially out.”
He said if Mr. Stalin was afraid of losing seats in Parliament due to the delimitation exercise, he should have asked the 39 Lok Sabha MPs of the INDIA bloc to raise this issue during the Budget session of Parliament. According to him, Mr. Stalin is attempting to divert people’s attention from the “misgovernance” in Tamil Nadu.
“With lawlessness at its peak, governance in shambles, corruption at its peak, and paralysed policy, you have decided to devote your entire time to shooting video reels every day and addressing an issue that is nothing but a figment of your imagination,” Mr. Annamalai charged.
He also said the Tamil Nadu BJP would start a signature campaign on March 5 in support of the three-language policy for all the students in the State, as stipulated by the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. “Equal education is our right, you and your party cannot deprive students of it,” he added.
