A group of persons, said to be from Sri Rama Sene, allegedly attacked a salon near KSRTC bus sand at Bejai in Mangaluru on January 23. They allegedly assaulted two staff members and damaged property claiming that the salon was a centre for immoral activities.
Police said that the attack took place around 11.50 a.m.
“About 10 persons unlawfully entered Colors Unisex Salon and assaulted two staff members. They damaged property significantly. They allegedly verbally abused the staff accusing them of indulging in immoral activities and threatened to harm them further,” Police Commissioner Anupam Agrawal informed.

A case was registered at Barke police station based on a complaint by the owner under relevant sections.
Meanwhile, speaking to press persons in Udupi Home Minister G. Parameshwara said that the accused will be arrested. If any illegal activities took place, they (those who attacked should have given a police complaint. Taking law into one’s own hand will not be allowed, he said.
