Florida school districts aren’t the only entities defying Governor Ron DeSantis (R) by issuing mask mandates: At least one of Donald Trump’s Florida resorts has one, too. COVID-19 patients currently occupy nearly 84% of the Sunshine State’s hospital beds, according to data from the Department of Health and Human Services, but DeSantis has threatened to withhold funds for schools that impose mask requirements for students. Despite the surge of the delta variant, the Republican governor is adamantly against mandating masks.
