Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu disburses pension under NTR Bharosa scheme. Following an elderly woman’s request during an interaction later, the Chief Minister sanctions financial assistance for her granddaughters’ schooling and for procuring cows for her family’s livelihood.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday disbursed pensions to the beneficiaries under the NTR Bharosa scheme in the Gangadhara Nellore Assembly constituency.
Mr. Naidu, who was on a day’s visit to the constituency, first visited the BC Colony near GD Nellore mandal headquarters and interacted with the beneficiaries.
During the interaction, an elderly woman, Selvi, requested the Chief Minister to extend financial assistance for her two granddaughters’ schooling and for procuring cows for the family’s livelihood.
Mr. Naidu immediately directed District Collector Sumit Kumar to look into the matter. On instructions from the Collector, the officials concerned prepared the documents for providing financial support and housing schemes to the family. The Collector also asked the officials to get the two children admitted in a social welfare school.
Earlier, the Chief Minister was accorded a grand welcome from the residents. Later, he proceeded to inspect the stalls set up by various government departments, displaying the welfare programmes under the ‘Padi Sutralu’ (10 principles) initiative.
Earlier, Mr. Naidu arrived at the Tirupati airport and reached GD Nellore by helicopter at noon. Chittoor in-charge Minister M. Ramprasad Reddy, MLAs, Superintendent of Police V.N. Manikantha Chandolu, and senior officials were present.
