All municipalities in Karnataka to follow BBMP model to issue land certificates

Minister for Municipal Administration and Haj Rahim Khan accepted that there were several complaints by site owners who wanted to build houses or those who wanted to buy sites to build houses, that their land registration or issue of certificates was getting delayed.
All municipalities in Karnataka will follow the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) model to issue land certificates to A khata and B khata land owners, Minister for Municipal Administration and Haj Rahim Khan said in Belagavi on December 17.
He was responding to a question by member Chidananda Gowda in the Legislative Council.
Mr Khan accepted that there were several complaints by site owners who wanted to build houses or those who wanted to buy sites to build houses, that their land registration or issue of certificates was getting delayed.
“We have issued strict instructions to officers to complete the process in seven days. We are also telling them to follow the BBMP model of issuing A khata and B khata certificates,’‘ the Minister said.

The Karnataka government has drafted a comprehensive master plan for the integrated development of Kukke Subrahmanya temple, the State’s highest revenue-generating temple managed by the Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department. The redevelopment initiative is estimated to cost around ₹254 crore and aims to enhance infrastructure and facilities for devotees.
