532 candidates selected at job fair in Dharwad in Karnataka

A job fair was organised jointly by the Department of Livelihood and Skill Development, district administration and the zilla panchayat at Karnatak College in Dharwad on March 9.
Over 6,000 job aspirants and 118 industrial firms and human resource institutions participated in the fair. Over 12,000 jobs were on offer. At the end of the day 532 candidates were selected and received job offers, while 3,149 have made it to the final round of the interview, according to the organisers.
MLA N. H. Konaraddi said the Congress government in Karnataka is committed to accord priority to employment generation. “We have launched the Yuvanidhi guarantee scheme and are providing financial assitance to unemployed youths for a certain period. The job fairs will be held at taluk and Assembly constituency levels also,” he said.
He called upon job aspirants to work with dedication and not leave the job immediately after being trained by their company.
Deputy Commissioner Divya Prabhu, ZP CEO Bhuvanesh Patil, District Skill Development officer Raveendra Dyaber and others were present.
