We plan to provide amenities based on priorities, says GVMC Commissioner
Around 5,000 staff from various secretariats took part in the slum development survey organised by the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) here on Sunday. There are 793 slums in the GVMC limits. The secretariat staff had visited the slums located in all the zones and organised the survey. They collected details on the number of people living in each house, overall population and checked proof of residence. The residents also informed the staff about the issues in the locality. It was learnt that in many of the slums, people complained about bad roads, improper drains, drinking water and lack of permanent houses.More Related News
