National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), Bengaluru, Ministry of Culture, is organising ‘Gesture Drawing: A workshop on drawing motion with minimal strokes’ on December 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The workshop is for students aged above 16 years.
This workshop is part of the retrospective exhibition Namma Mestru: The artistic voyage of JMS Mani, curated by Darshan Kumar Y. U. and Amrutha R., Deputy Curator.
The exhibition, open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., runs until January 1, 2025, at NGMA, #49, Manikyavelu Mansion, Palace Road, Bengaluru.
A training session on environmental monitoring of paddy fields was conducted for the farmers of Thenpathu village near Manur in Tirunelveli district recently. The benefits of using lesser amounts of pesticides, the need to protect crops from the onslaught of insects and worms, and the importance of producing non-toxic food items were highlighted in the training.
