A group of scientists who are country music fans have discovered new species of grasshoppers in central Texas — and named one of them after Willie Nelson, country music star and Texas native.
Scientists discovered the flightless insect in Texas — where the veteran singer and actor was born 90 years ago. "Just like Mr. Nelson, we, too, have a little Texas in our souls." The discovery of the seven flightless grasshopper species underscores the "ecological uniqueness" of central Texas, said Dr. Hill. Maureen Mackey is managing editor of lifestyle for Fox News Digital.
