Trump selects South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem to run Department of Homeland Security

Kristi Noem will serve as secretary of the Department of Homeland Security in the upcoming Trump administration, according to an announcement on Tuesday.
The DHS oversees U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), U.S. Secret Service and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). In a statement released on Tuesday night, the Trump campaign said that the South Dakota governor has a "very strong" track record on border security.
