James Austin Johnson's Trump clowned the "best people" he wants around him in his second term.
President-elect Donald Trump (played by James Austin Johnson) declared that he’s picking the “most epic cabinet of all time” moments before dissing his controversial nominees during the “SNL” cold open this weekend.
“They’re some of the most dynamic, free-thinking, animal-killing, sexually-criminal, medically-crazy people in the country,” Johnson’s Trump told President Joe Biden (played by Dana Carvey) in a sketch parodying their transition meeting at the White House.
Trump — who described the presidency as surrounding yourself with the “best people” — offered his takes on Elon Musk, his pick to lead a new Department of Government Efficiency, and former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), his pick for attorney general.
“That’s an alien versus predator,” said Johnson as he joked about the SpaceX founder and Gaetz, who has faced accusations of sexual misconduct.
He turned his attention to South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, his pick to be homeland security secretary, and conspiracy theorist Robert F. Kennedy Jr., his choice to lead the Department of Health and Human Services.
