Tom Girardi is pleading the Fifth in the class-action suit against him by Lion Air Flight 610 victims.
A hearing is scheduled for mid-September, according to Law360. Per Cornell Law School, a witness may plead or "take" the Fifth if they believe that "answering the question may be self-incriminatory."
