Queen Elizabeth confided in American cowboy pal over 'guilty conscience’
Fox News
American cowboy and "horse whisperer" Monty Roberts developed an unlikely friendship with Queen Elizabeth II that lasted for decades until her death in 2022.
England’s longest-reigning monarch died in 2022 at age 96. Roberts was invited to her funeral at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. "She said, ‘I have such a guilty conscience. I should have told my father I wanted to… [learn] nonviolent ways to train horses. And now I know it’s possible.’" Stephanie Nolasco covers entertainment at Foxnews.com.
"My wife and I have been married for 68 years, but horses are my second love," Roberts told Fox News Digital. "… "Her majesty and I shared a deep love for horses. And getting to know her was such a wonderful time in my life."
