The 'Spark' Is Gone: Ex-GOP Congressman Hits Trump With Stark Election Warning

David Jolly said the former president's rambling speeches aren't helping his plunging popularity.
Former Rep. David Jolly (R-Fla.) said that as things stand right now, Donald Trump will lose the election as voters grow tired of his act and more enthusiastic about Vice President Kamala Harris.
And Trump’s rambling speeches, which go on so long that some fans have been walking out before they’re over, aren’t helping.
“He’s more like the aging rock star whose fans have kind of faded away, so it’s more like a reunion tour for him,” Jolly ― a longtime Trump critic ― said on MSNBC on Sunday. “It just doesn’t quite have the spark it had in 2016, and the lack of enthusiasm is there as well and he’s not helping himself.”
He noted that Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) earlier in the day warned Trump he could lose the election if he continues with the insults and personal attacks.
“Lindsey Graham is right,” Jolly said. “Donald Trump will likely lose to Vice President Harris as we stand here today.”
