The London region was slammed by a series of storms with heavy winds, rain and hail Thursday afternoon.
Reports of downed trees, power outages, loud thunderclaps and hailstones rolled in on social media as locals shared sights and sounds from the heavy storms.
To the west, weather experts are investigating whether the Sarnia area experienced a tornado, with golf ball sized hail being reported in other areas closer to Windsor.
Severe weather warnings ended shortly before 7 p.m.
Earlier Thursday, Environment Canada warned of possible tornadoes in the London area.
"There's also a possibility of decent sized hail, golf ball size hail, and that could cause some damage and also head trauma possibly," said meteorologist Gerald Cheng.
London Hydro reported over 80 power outages across London, starting at around 5:18 p.m., impacting about 7,000 customers. There were also smaller outages being reported along country roads to the south of the city.
The restoration time is unknown, but a London Hydro spokesperson told CBC News they are working to restore power.
Multiple Londoners reported downed trees and branches throughout the storm, including branches having been tangled in power lines and trees being ripped apart by heavy winds.
Environment Canada is forecasting thunderstorms to end near midnight, then a 40 per cent chance of showers continues overnight, with a low of 17 C.
Mainly cloudy on Friday with a 40 per cent chance of showers, moderate winds gusting to 40 km/h, and a daytime high of 22 C.
