Putting an end to rumours that ‘Bhairavana Kone Pata’ has been shelved, director Hemanth on Monday released a statement stating that Shivarajkumar — who just recently returned to working after undergoing cancer treatment in the US — needs time to rest, heal and recuperate
We had previously reported that Sapta Sagaradaache Ellofame Hemanth M Rao is set to direct Shivarajkumar in his next project, titled Bhairavana Kone Paata. The makers had even released a first-look poster featuring the superstar. However, over the last few days, speculations have been rife that the film has been shelved.
Putting an end to these rumours, director Hemanth on Monday released a statement on his official X handle. Citing that Shivarajkumar — who just recently returned to working after undergoing cancer treatment in the US — needs time to rest, heal and recuperate, Hemanth said the makers of Bhairavana Kone Paata are giving him “all the time and space to heal.”
“The rumors circulating about Bhairavana Kone Paata being shelved are completely unfounded and not true. #BKP is an extremely demanding film for everybody due to its size and scale. Especially so on the actors. In the little time I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Shivanna, his commitment and work ethic are from another era, he will run himself to the ground if it means it will get people more joy. He always, always does his best, its upto us, makers to capture that raw energy and more importantly, to ensure that he is comfortable in this entire process.
“Shivanna has just fought an epic battle and needs time to recover to get back to his physical best. We want to give him all the time and space to heal. I cannot put into words the excitement that we have for #BKP. We are going to make it happen,” Hemanth wrote, adding a quote from the film that goes, “The patient warrior knows that the greatest victories are won in the silence of the mind”
This comes just a week after Shivarajkumar, who returned to Bengaluru from the US after undergoing surgery, announced that he is getting back to work. The actor underwent an operation to remove a cancerous bladder at the Miami Cancer Institute in Florida and returned to Bengaluru in January 2025, after recuperating in Miami for a month. The actor confessed that he isn’t 100 per cent ready, but is planning a steady comeback to films.
