Ontario Provincial Police said Friday that a 911 call came in at 10 a.m. Nov. 18.
The caller reported that "one person had been fatally injured in a dog attack at a residence on James Street in Bonfield," police said.
"An 81-year-old individual from Bonfield was pronounced deceased at the scene ... At this time, no foul play is suspected, and there are no criminal charges being laid."
In an email to CTV News, OPP Const. Kyler Brouwer said the three dogs believed to be involved in the attack "did belong in the home, as well as the victim, they lived there."
"The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit has placed a 10-day quarantine on the dogs involved," Brouwer said.
"Animal welfare has also notified of the occurrence, but I don’t have any information right now about what will happen with the involved dogs."
