The Fox News personality suggested a very selfish alternative to the New York Democrat's proposed tackling of the climate crisis.
Fox News personality Sean Hannity on Wednesday offered up selfish and nihilistic response to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-N.Y.) concerns for the environment and her signature policy proposal, the Green New Deal. On Wednesday’s episode of “The Sean Hannity Show” on Premiere Radio Networks, Hannity first railed against the New York Democrat’s plan for a 1.5 million-strong climate corps to work on federally funded projects tackling climate change. He suggested Ocasio-Cortez was instilling fear in President Joe Biden and Democratic leaders, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.). Then came the nihilism:
"I think it would be very devastating for me and for him to meet his first child behind a glass screen," his wife, who is eight months pregnant, told Reuters.
The president would have likely "gotten very upset" had a Democrat done it, the New York Times journalist told CNN's Anderson Cooper.
The president received an awkward reminder, right to his face.
