Scott Jennings' Plea To Give Trump 'Peace' Gets A Mic-Drop Reply On CNN

The GOP pundit asked Democrats to allow the president-elect to fulfill his mandate.
GOP pundit Scott Jennings urged Democrats to give President-elect Donald Trump “peace” to govern for a few years so he can fulfill his promises. But that got quickly shut down by another CNN personality. (Watch the video below.)
In a panel on the news network Wednesday, Jennings called the former president’s election victory a “mandate” that could be obstructed by Democratic attempts to undermine him. The same thing happened in 2016, he said.
Jennings, who worked in ex-President George W. Bush’s administration, noted a statement on Wednesday from Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) saying that “the next Congress will be less about pursuing progress than about containing the inevitable corruption of a second Trump administration.”
“The American people want this president and his administration and his party to make progress on the things they promised to do,” Jennings said. “Can we just have a couple of years of peace for the Republicans and President Trump to do what they promised to do?”
Snapped Ana Navarro: “That’s really rich, though, from a party and from Trump who for four years never even acknowledged that Joe Biden had won the election.”
