
Salmonella outbreak detected in half of US states

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) warned Friday that an outbreak of salmonella due to an "unknown food source" has been detected in 25 states across the U.S.
As of last Wednesday, 127 people were infected with the outbreak strain and reported illnesses started on dates ranging from Aug. 3, 2021, to Sept. 1, 2021.
People less than a year old to 82 years old have been infected.
