Russell Wilson’s $10 million Giants contract incentives keep focus on two big things
NY Post
Russell Wilson’s one-year Giants contract comes with $10.5 million in guaranteed money with the chance to earn $10 million more in incentives.
On Tuesday, those incentives became clearer and are based on two things — winning and playing time.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that $7.5 million of the incentives are based on playing time, performance and playoffs.
The other $3 million is contingent on wins and him playing more than half the offensive snaps.
As it stands, Wilson, 36, is Big Blue’s new starting quarterback after agreeing to the one-year deal on Tuesday.
The Giants signed Jameis Winston earlier this month — presumably to be the backup — and re-signed Tommy DeVito, who was an exclusive rights free agent.
