Rome Odunze’s dad puts ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky on blast with video of son

The honeymoon of the Bears’ offense with Caleb Williams has been short-lived.
ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky opined that first-round pick Rome Odunze isn’t getting open, and Odunze’s father fired back with a video of his son open in the end zone but unseen by Williams.
Williams was the first overall pick in this year’s NFL draft and then the Bears selected Odunze from Washington ninth overall.
Through two games, Odunze has just three total catches for 44 yards.
“The Bears and Caleb are gonna have to get comfortable giving Rome more ‘covered’ opportunities,” Orlovsky wrote on X earlier this week.
“Rome isn’t getting open at this level right now—Caleb will have to get comfortable throwing him some 50/50 balls.”
With the Yankees on an impressive run of mostly correct decisions, there’s some reason to leave them alone and just let the best team in the American League continue to roll. But they did raise serious doubt and leave room for suggestions (and even ridicule) following maybe the most inexplicable decision of this season, or any season.
The Giants have never been 0-2 under Brian Daboll, until now. They were 2-0 and flying high in 2022 and 1-1 after a rousing comeback in Arizona in 2023. So, this represents a low point as far as early-season difficulties for Daboll and the Giants. They had no business beating the Vikings in the opener and no business losing to the Commanders in Week 2. But here they are.
