Justin Fields can change everything for the Jets offense — with some help
NY Post
The Jets were quiet on Day 2 of free agency after adding a new quarterback Monday.
Here are some thoughts on their free agency so far.
1. I understand some pessimism about Justin Fields. He is 14-30 as an NFL quarterback and is now on his third team. But I do think that once they decided to move on from Aaron Rodgers, Fields became the best of a bunch of flawed options for the Jets.
Fields is just 26 years old, is a mobile quarterback and has a strong arm. That separates him from a lot of the other candidates — many of whom are old and immobile. Fields gives the Jets a shot. The pressure now is going to be on new offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand to figure out how to bring out his best and capitalize on what he does well.
