Travelers looking to go off the beaten path to visit the places where their ancestors lived can do so with the help of genealogy website Ancestry and Kensington Tours, a travel company.
Each "personal heritage journey" is entirely unique. Popular destinations for these types of tours include Ireland, France, Japan and New York City. Christine Rousselle is a lifestyle reporter with Fox News Digital.
One traveler who has taken a "personal heritage journey" with Kensington Tours is Elizabeth Dobson of London, Ontario. She became interested in genealogy after she retired in 2015, she told Fox News Digital in a phone interview.
