New Jersey man with epilepsy uses hand-painted seashells to help find a cure
Fox News
Kyle Adamkiewicz, 33, of New Jersey has lived with epilepsy since his diagnosis at age 6. He's now combining his love of art with the power of nature to help bring attention to the seizure disorder.
"One out of 26 people in the world have epilepsy, but it’s basically a hidden disease." "We want to teach people how to be kind, and how to help." Melissa Rudy is senior health editor and a member of the lifestyle team at Fox News Digital. Story tips can be sent to melissa.rudy@fox.com.
In Oct. 2022, Adamkiewicz began collecting seashells from the New Jersey shore, then painting and decorating them with heartfelt messages in search of a cure. He places his works of art along the seaside boardwalks in the hopes that they will inspire strangers to spread the word — and the shells.
