People Jokingly Worry About Tim Scott's Engagement After Trump Picks Vance For VP

Now that the South Carolina senator won't be Trump's running mate, many people snarkily wondered if Scott's engagement to Mindy Noce would be coming to an end.
Donald Trump’s choice for vice president may have been good news for Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), but many people joked it was bad for Vance’s colleague, Tim Scott, and Scott’s fiancee, Mindy Noce.
The 58-year-old South Carolina senator was reportedly on Trump’s vice president shortlist, but the fact that Scott has never been married before was a concern to Republican Party donors, according to Axios.
Scott was so secretive about his love life that even six of his friends admitted to The Washington Post last September that they were unaware if he had “a woman in his life.”
But in January, Scott announced that he was engaged to Noce, a previously married interior designer and mother of three from Charleston, South Carolina.
The quick and convenient timeline of the relationship, however, did little to dispel skepticism that they were just together to bolster Scott’s VP chances.
