‘Peak Gaslighting’: Snoop Dogg And Tom Brady’s Anti-Hate Super Bowl Ad Sparks Backlash
HuffPost
Critics accused the pair of hypocrisy over the spot.
NFL veteran-turned-commentator Tom Brady and rap star Snoop Dogg drew backlash during Sunday’s Super Bowl for their starring roles in an ad in which they urged people to stop the hate.
In the “No Reason to Hate” commercial for billionaire Robert Kraft’s Foundation to Combat Antisemitism, Snoop and Brady said why they hated each other.
Text then read on screen: “The reasons for hate are as stupid as they sound.”
The spot ended with Snoop telling Brady: “Man, I hate that things are so bad that we have to do a commercial about it.”
Some critics mocked the cringe-worthy nature of the video.
