Oklahoma girls basketball state champs speak out against announcer after racist rant caught on hot mic

Several players from an Oklahoma high school girls basketball team are speaking out after a local broadcaster was caught using explicit and racist language during a live stream of one of their playoff games last week.
"Racism is still alive and well today and just hearing those words was very heartbreaking, but we had to push that to the side. We had one goal: to win the state tournament," senior Chantae Embry said, via KWTV. "The broadcaster should be held accountable so something like this doesn’t happen in the future," freshman Zya Vann added.More Related News
