NBC won't debut any new comedies in the fall for the first time in 50 years

NBC unveiled its 2021 fall TV slate this week and it is decidedly lacking for funny shows.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Susan Rovner, chairman of entertainment content for NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, told the outlet Friday that the lack of comedies on the fall schedule for the first time in 50 years does not mean the network is going in a new direction. "In recent years our comedies haven’t performed as well in the fall, so we’re doubling down in midseason with two big nights of comedy," she said.More Related News
