Kornacki said the figures are "hard to ignore" and show "movement" in the GOP nominee's direction.
NBC News’ national political correspondent Steve Kornacki on Sunday said there is very small but “potentially meaningful movement” in Donald Trump’s direction as the race for the presidency remains close against Kamala Harris.
Kornacki appeared on “Meet the Press” and looked at four recent polls including those from CNBC and The Wall Street Journal showing the GOP nominee leading Harris among registered voters.
Trump is tied with the vice president in polls from The New York Times/Siena College and CNN.
“I don’t want to overstate it but at the same time, it’s hard to ignore these four,” Kornacki said.
Harris continues to lead in an average of national polls, Kornacki stressed, but the figure has dropped from +3 points to +1.2 points in recent weeks.
