MSNBC’s Ana Cabrera invited Vanderbilt Prof. Michael Eric Dyson on to her Thursday to address the Florida Department of Education's updated standards for teaching African-American studies.

This came after Florida DOE’s new standards received backlash for what critics said teaches that slaves "benefited" from slavery. Joining Fox News Digital in 2019, he previously graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Political Science and is an alum of the National Journalism Center and the Heritage Foundation's Young Leaders Program.
