Moderna has completed enrollment for a Phase 2/3 study of its COVID-19 vaccine in adolescents ages 12 to 17.
The two-dose jab received emergency use authorization in December for individuals ages 18 and older. The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, also a two-dose jab, was approved weeks earlier for use in individuals 16 and older. Johnson & Johnson submitted an EUA request for use of its one-shot vaccine in individuals 18 years and older, with the decision pending. Since the initial approvals, both Moderna and Pfizer have announced plans to study the vaccine in pediatric patients. Pfizer has since completed enrollment for its trial involving children ages 12 to 15 years old.More Related News
