Miss World contestants to explore 800-year-old Ramappa temple in Telangana during Kakatiya Heritage and Warangal tour
Over 800-year old Ramappa temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in Telangana is one of the destinations planned for contestants of Miss World beauty pageant 2025 from various countries. They would be taken on the Kakatiya Heritage and Warangal tour on May 14. After the contestants reach on May 6 and 7, the opening ceremony would be held on May 10.
The Miss World pageant is expected to draw international attention, offering a platform to promote the State’s vibrant culture, cuisine, and historical landmarks.
State Tourism Secretary Smita Sabharwal chaired a review meeting at the Secretariat on Friday to oversee preparations for the upcoming contest.
“The meeting focused on ensuring seamless arrangements to showcase Telangana’s rich cultural heritage and world-class hospitality to the global audience. Discussions included logistics, security, and curated experiences to highlight the architectural splendour of the Kakatiya dynasty and the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ramappa Temple, during the heritage tours in Warangal,” as per a press note.
