Ministry of Labour issues order against Hamilton restaurant Nique, investigation ongoing

The Ministry of Labour has issued an order against Nique, a downtown Hamilton restaurant refusing to enforce Ontario's vaccine passport.
Ministry spokesperson Kalem McSween told CBC Hamilton an inspector visited Nique on Wednesday and issued an order.
"As the investigation is ongoing, details on any orders issued are not available," read the email response on Friday morning.
CBC Hamilton reached out to Nique owner Harrison Hennick for comment.
If a workplace does not follow an inspector's orders, charges may be laid.
This comes after Hennick put Nique up for sale earlier this week.
Hennick previously said he wouldn't require staff to ask patrons for proof of vaccination because "I believe our human rights laws supersede anything our government is trying to do."
