Actor Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave “Celebrity Big Brother UK” after producers warned him against making homophobic comments toward housemate JoJo Siwa.
“Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behavior,” a “Celebrity Big Brother” spokesperson told People in a statement.
The exit followed a disagreement between Rourke and fellow housemate Chris Hughes, in which Rourke used language that was “threatening and aggressive,” according to the spokesperson.
After Rourke made several homophobic comments toward Siwa during Wednesday’s episode, producers warned Rourke that if he continued to make “offensive and unacceptable” comments, he would be removed from the show.
During Wednesday’s episode, Rourke, 72, asked Siwa, 21, about her sexuality. After Siwa told him she liked girls and that her partner was nonbinary, Rourke told her, “If I stay longer than four days, you won’t be gay anymore.”
