George Clooney knows better than to let President Donald Trump get under his skin.
Asked about the politician calling him a “second rate movie ‘star’” and “failed political pundit,” on Truth Social last month, the Oscar winner told “CBS Mornings” host Gayle King, “I don’t care.”
“I’ve known Donald Trump for a long time,” he continued. “My job is not to please the president of the United States. My job is to try and tell the truth when I can and when I have the opportunity.”
Clooney said he was “well aware” of the criticism he gets when he speaks up about politics, also reminding viewers about his clash with billionaire DOGE orchestrator Elon Musk for complaining about his faulty Tesla over a decade ago.
In March, Trump lashed out at Clooney after he criticized the president’s attacks on the press during a “60 Minutes” interview promoting his Broadway play “Good Night, and Good Luck.”
