The director's former partner has previously accused Allen of molesting their daughter when she was 7.
Mia Farrow, who for years has accused ex-partner Woody Allen of sexually molesting their adopted daughter Dylan, said she “completely understands” actors who want to work with the director.
Asked on “CBS Sunday Morning” if she could separate their 13 films together from the “personal trials and tribulations that would follow,” the “Purple Rose of Cairo” star replied: “Oh yeah. I completely understand if an actor decides to work with him. I’m not one who’d say, ‘Oh, they shouldn’t.’”

Several actors have disavowed the prolific “Annie Hall” Oscar winner or pledged not to work with him again, including Michael Caine, Timothée Chalamet, Mira Sorvino, Colin Firth, Rebecca Hall and Greta Gerwig. But Oscar winner Javier Bardem is among entertainment figures who have expressed support, saying the embattled filmmaker has been publicly lynched and that he wouldn’t hesitate to join another Allen film.
Allen has repeatedly denied the abuse claim, and no charges were filed after a police investigation.
