Manchin calls infrastructure bill a ‘golden opportunity’ but warns against eliminating coal
Fox News
West Virginia Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin called President Biden’s infrastructure bill a “golden opportunity” Thursday, but warned that a green economy cannot be achieved by eliminating the state’s oldest energy producer – coal.
"I have said this before, you cannot eliminate your way to a cleaner climate, you can innovate your way, but not eliminate your way," he added. Manchin met with Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm Thursday to address how his state will fit into Biden’s roughly $2 trillion plan to revamp the U.S. energy sector.More Related News
