Several people were killed and others were injured by a man using a bow and arrows to carry out attacks in the Norwegian town of Kongsberg on Wednesday, local police said.
"The man has been apprehended … from the information we now have, this person carried out these actions alone," police Chief Oeyvind Aas said at a news conference Wednesday night.
"Several people have been injured and several are dead."
Aas declined to comment on the number of casualties.
The attacks took place over "a large area" of Kongsberg, a municipality of around 28,000 people in southeastern Norway, police said.
According to police, the suspect walked around the city, shooting at people with arrows. The man has not yet been questioned and his motive was unknown, Aas said.
Police were alerted to the attack around 6:30 p.m. and arrested the suspect about 20 minutes later.
Kamala Harris took the stage at her final campaign stop in Philadelphia on Monday night, addressing voters in a swing state that may very well hold the key to tomorrow's historic election: "You will decide the outcome of this election, Pennsylvania," she told the tens of thousands of people who gathered to hear her speak.
