Los Angeles County DA says nine charged with looting homes in wildfire zones, one with arson

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman issued a stern warning on Monday against attempting to use the wildfires to commit crimes against victims.
"These are the people who are seeking to exploit this tragedy for their own benefit," Hochman said. "These are people who have engaged in looting and arson. We've also investigated price gouging and will be investigating internet scams and the like." Louis Casiano is a reporter for Fox News Digital. Story tips can be sent to louis.casiano@fox.com.
Three suspects identified as Martrell Peoples, Damari Bell and Travon Coleman committed residential burglaries in Mandeville Canyon to the tune of more than $200,000 worth of goods hours after the fires began, Hochman said. They were spotted on a Ring camera inside a home, he said.
