Konaseema Sankranti festival at Lolla irrigation lock on January 11, 2025, with swimming, kite festival, and rangoli competitions.
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district Collector R. Mahesh Kumar on Saturday announced that the Konaseema Sankranti festival would be celebrated at Lolla irrigation lock in Atreyapuram mandal from January 11, 2025.
Mr. Mahesh Kumar and Kothapeta MLA B. Satyananda Rao released a poster of the festival on Saturday. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Mahesh Kumar said that swimming in the irrigation lock, kite festival and rangoli competitions are the prime attractions of the festival.
“The Lolla irrigation lock has been chosen to give a fillip by conducting the Konaseema Sankranti festival as recommended by the Department of Tourism,” said Mr. Mahesh Kumar. The Revenue, Irrigation and police officials of the Kothapeta Revenue Division would conduct the festival.
