The reality TV star said that she experienced the flare-up right before she was scheduled to attend the Met Gala.
Kim Kardashian recently opened up about how a flare-up from psoriasis affected her preparation for a Met Gala event she’s attended in the past.
During an appearance on Tuesday’s episode of the “SHE MD Podcast,” the reality TV star discussed her journey living with psoriasis and how she once had a flare-up leading up to the annual star-studded fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City.
While describing how she manages flare-ups that occur on different parts of her body, she said that she started to “get a little bit desperate” when her psoriasis started to affect her face.
“There was a spot really close to my eye, and it would just burn a little bit,” she said. “And I remember I had the Met ball coming up that week and it was covering my face.”
Psoriasis is an autoimmune disorder and chronic skin condition “characterized by inflamed, red, raised areas that often develop into silvery scales on the scalp, elbows, knees, and lower back,” John Hopkins Medicine states.
