Grace Jabbari dropped her civil suit against the former "Ant-Man" villain after a “favorable settlement” was reached, her attorney said.
Jonathan Majors’ ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari has dropped her assault and defamation lawsuit against the former Marvel actor after a “favorable settlement” was reached, her attorney said.
Jabbari’s civil suit was dismissed Thursday with prejudice, meaning the case can’t be filed against him again. Both parties will cover the costs of their own attorneys fees, according to a copy of the suit’s dismissal.
“It took tremendous courage for Grace to pursue this case,” Jabbari’s attorney, Brad Edwards, told HuffPost in a statement Friday. “We are happy to have helped her favorably close this chapter so that she can move forward and begin to finally heal.”
Attorneys for Majors did not immediately respond to HuffPost’s requests for comment.
Jabbari’s lawsuit was filed three months after he was convicted by a Manhattan jury last December of assaulting her in a car. Majors, who has maintained his innocence in the allegations and accused Jabbari of being the instigator, was ordered to complete a year of counseling.
