The late night host tore into the Senate minority leader for a stunning change of tune on the former president.
Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday gave Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) a scathing reminder of what he has said about Donald Trump.
Kimmel rolled footage from 2021 of McConnell saying “there’s no question” that Trump was “practically and morally responsible” for the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Trump, in turn, not only attacked McConnell but hurled racist insults at McConnell’s wife, Elaine Chao.
Yet McConnell on Thursday was part of a group of GOP lawmakers who met with Trump in Washington, and told reporters he supports the former president.
“What a spineless little Mitch you are,” Kimmel said.
