The late-night host used the former Trump adviser's plans to "defile the Constitution" against him.
Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday took aim at Steve Bannon after the former Donald Trump adviser signaled his support for the president should he run for a third term in 2028, a move that would go against constitutional term limits.
“Once upon a time when you said stuff like that you were considered to be un-American,” the late-night host said.
Kimmel turned to a clip of the far-right nationalist telling NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo that Trump would win in such a scenario.
“We’re working on it,” said Bannon when asked how he thinks the president gets another term.
Kimmel swiftly used Bannon’s plans to “defile the Constitution” against him, “I hope they do it though, I hope they make it so you can run for three terms. I hope that happens and Obama comes back and beats his ass.”
