Alli Marois of Iowa posted a video on TikTok in February asking firefighters to send her shirts so she could make a T-shirt quilt using fire department shirts from all 50 states for her dad, a retired firefighter.
"I wanted to give him something that he would treasure forever." "There’s no way he could wear 50 shirts, so I decided to make a T-shirt quilt." Marois even received a T-shirt from Fire Department Coffee, based in Illinois. (Courtesy Alli Marois) Firehouse Subs also sent along a T-shirt. Marois even received T-shirts from fire departments overseas, in Iraq and Afghanistan. A shirt from Iraq is pictured. "The main reason that I started this was whenever we would go anywhere on [a] family vacation, he would get a T-shirt from a local fire department," Marois told Fox News Digital. "I know he hasn’t been to all 50 states, so I figured why not just try something and try to get all 50 states for him?"
